My name is Zachary Kozlow Poyo,

I am a Somatic Psychotherapist living and working in Los Angeles, California. I specialize in the mind-body connection. I have spent a majority of my career working to understand how it is that the mind-body connection is influenced by our development, by our world and by ourselves. When we look at our connection to ourselves, it give us vital information for healing and change. The work that I do with my clients breaks old destructive patterns and leads the way to healing deep seeded emotional injuries.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from California State University Northridge. I received a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Webster University in Greenville South Carolina. I am certified as an Integrative Body Psychotherapy practitioner from the IBP institute in Venice California.

My employment experience includes, The Department of Mental Health in Greenville SC, Step Up On Second, Chabad Inpatient/Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility and The South Coast Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Facility all in the greater Los Angeles area. 

My work experience has included individual therapy sessions, group therapy sessions, therapy facilitation for the homeless and those in transition, treatment planning, execution of treatment plans and the creation of a 12-week somatic group therapy curriculum, working primarily with addiction and all other forms of trauma. 

The name of my private practice is ALCHE.ME Psychotherapy where I work to facilitate the diverse needs of my clientele. I am motivated everyday to share my passion for mind-body therapy with those in need of transformational change.
